天来小子定睛一看，
玄素二女，化身为太极之图。
阴阳鱼儿，游弋于无际之水，
左旋卍字，开般若之空慧；
右旋卐字，悟无相之慈悲。
啊，二女和合，太极本无极，
如混沌初开，如道生万物。
彼此相融，非此非彼，
亦此亦彼，
一转一合，阴阳相生相克；
一静一动，无极而太极兮。
天来小子，长啸一声，
曰：“叹为观止！”
其黑白交织，既是有，又是无，
其生灭往复，既是始，又是终。
噫！太极之奥，
明乎者，与道同游；
昧乎者，终沦于幻。
愿吾辈，观黑白鱼之妙，
超见生死之妄，
得天地之心，返本归元矣！
"The Black and White Fish"
The young man Tianlai gazed intently,
Behold! The two maidens, Xuan and Su, transformed into the Taiji diagram.
Two fishes, black and white, swimming in boundless waters,
One spins leftward, the 卍, unveiling the wisdom of emptiness;
One spins rightward, the 卐, awakening boundless compassion.
Ah, the two maidens harmonize, merging into Taiji—yet it returns to Wuji!
Like the chaos before form, like the Dao birthing all things.
They merge and separate, neither one nor the other,
Yet both and neither,
One turns, the other follows; yin births yang, yang embraces yin.
Motion begets stillness, stillness births motion—Wuji transforms into Taiji.
The young man Tianlai, with a long sigh,
Exclaimed, "What a wondrous sight!"
The interplay of black and white, being yet non-being,
The endless cycle of creation and dissolution, alpha and omega.
Oh! The mystery of Taiji,
To understand it is to walk with the Dao;
To ignore it is to be lost in illusion.
May we, beholding the dance of black and white fish,
Transcend the delusion of life and death,
Comprehend the heart of heaven and earth,
And return to the source of all things.
