[Term used in History of Western Philosophy西方哲学史术语】神秘主义the belief that knowledge of God and of real truth can be found through prayer and meditation rather than through reason and the senses. 崃按：生命是“神圣”而且“深密”的，可以用康德批判哲学所谓“实践理性”(Practical Reason)去彰显其真实意义，所以上述的世俗之见，有失偏颇。“神秘主义”除了需要“禅定”的功夫去获得，最终它也能够在“历史维度”中被理性所认知、被感性所体验。关键在于有没有肯为了追求智慧与慈悲，而艰苦实践而已。 “神”与“真理”，不在“历史维度”，而在“终极维度”之中，祈祷与静坐只是通往“终极维度”的其中两个途径而已。说到底，“祈祷”与“静坐”也不过是“禅定”或“瑜伽”的另一种说法而已。
