一字“天”,二人相依,仰望穹苍;
二人二人木,仁者见仁,木生于仁;
二人二人木,木人二人二;
天来之趣,玩中有道;
从笔画起处,窥人间大义;
Prose Poem: The Charm of Characters: Tianlai
Playing with Word Puzzles
The character “天” (heaven): two people standing side by side, gazing at the infinite sky.
The character “來” (to come), in its traditional form, reveals its truth: two people and a tree.
Together, they form a riddle: four people under one tree.
Within this playful puzzle hides a secret—guess a name,
and there you find Tianlai, a soul rooted on Earth, yet wandering the heavens.
Playing with Philosophy
Two people, two people, and a tree:
仁 (benevolence) emerges, for the tree thrives in kindness.
Wood supports the heavens; benevolence anchors the world.
Two 仁 form a tree, embodying the eastern wind that nurtures life,
as the Azure Dragon rises from the depths.
The dragon soars to the nine heavens, connecting the nine abysses below.
Benevolence is its form, wood its spirit,
echoing the vitality and harmony of the East.
The East belongs to wood, and wood to life;
heaven, Earth, and human heart converge in perfect accord.
Playing with Rhythmic Chanting
Two people, two people, and a tree;
a wooden man, two people, two.
Two and two, people and tree;
a tree with people, two by two.
The rhythm takes shape; the form conceals meaning.
Reading flows like rising wind; chanting springs forth like bubbling water.
In the intertwining of words and sounds, the universe transforms into poetry,
every character and every tone
resonating like the echo of the Dao,
the reverberation of Tianlai.
Final Note
The charm of Tianlai lies in playful discovery, where joy meets the profound.
Within the strokes of each character lies the vastness of the cosmos.
In the melody of every sound, the pulse of life beats on.
Tianlai, Tianlai, it was here all along—
in every written word, and in every human heart.
