提示词:散文诗《性》。天来小子内观。性字,左右结构,左心而右生含玄义。性也者,究竟乃心生者(即:心生性),抑或生心者(即:性生心)也?思之思之,自得心开,心开意解矣!须知,明明德含修德及性德二重玄义。以性德言之,性即佛性,不生不灭、不断不常、不一不异、不来不去之中道实相也,乃为第一义者,故曰:性生心,此即生死流转门也,以及大乘菩萨乘愿再来之依据也。以修德言之,则佛性被见思惑、尘沙惑及无明惑重重覆盖,若无修德之心以疗愈之则不得彰显也,故曰:明心而后见性也,依乎此修德视角,则曰心生性也,此即涅槃还灭门,亦即众生上求佛道必经之途径也。总之,性字乃具足三因之佛性,自外而内,一者、缘因佛性之接引众生也,此则兼具心生性及性生心之性修不二也;二者、了因佛性之上求佛道也,此则对应心生性之修德也;三者、正因佛性之下化众生也,此则对应性生心之性德也。缘因者,身也,唐三藏之身也;了因者,心也,孙悟空之心也;正因者,身心合一也,唐三藏及孙悟空本是一人也。
散文诗《性》
天来小子内观。
性字,左右结构,
左“心”而右“生”,蕴藏玄义。
性者,究竟是心生性,
抑或性生心?
思之再三,心开意解,豁然朗然矣!
须知,明明德涵盖两重玄义:
一为性德,一为修德。
以性德言之:
性,即佛性。
不生不灭,不断不常,不一不异,不来不去,
中道实相,第一义谛。
故曰:性生心。
此即生死流转之门,
亦为大乘菩萨乘愿再来之依据。
以修德言之:
佛性被见思惑、尘沙惑、无明惑重重遮蔽,
若无修德之心以疗愈之,则性不得显现。
故曰:明心而后见性。
依此修德视角,乃曰:心生性。
此即涅槃还灭之门,
亦为众生上求佛道之必经途径。
总之:性字,乃具足三因佛性:
从外而内,次第显发。
一者,缘因佛性,引众生入道,
此兼具心生性与性生心之性修不二。
二者,了因佛性,上求佛道,
对应心生性,以修德成就。
三者,正因佛性,下化众生,
对应性生心,以性德圆满。
缘因者,身也,
是唐三藏之身,历经风霜。
了因者,心也,
是孙悟空之心,勇猛精进。
正因者,身心合一,
是唐三藏与孙悟空本是一人也。
观此“性”,
性生心,心生性,性修不二,因果一如。
修行者,当观此玄妙,奉此而行。
Prose Poem: "Nature"
From the heavens, the child gazes inward.
The character Nature is composed of left and right parts,
with "heart" on the left and "birth" on the right, containing profound meaning.
Is nature the result of the heart giving birth to it (heart generates nature),
or is it nature that gives birth to the heart (nature generates heart)?
Reflecting upon it deeply, the heart opens, and the meaning becomes clear!
It must be understood that the bright virtue encompasses two profound aspects:
one is nature virtue and the other is cultivated virtue.
From the perspective of nature virtue:
Nature is Buddha nature.
It is non-birth, non-death, non-continuous, non-constant, non-one, non-different, non-coming, non-going,
the middle path of the ultimate reality.
Thus, it is said: nature gives birth to the heart.
This is the door to the cycle of life and death,
and it is also the basis for the great Bodhisattvas’ vow to return.
From the perspective of cultivated virtue:
Buddha nature is obscured by the three delusions:
the delusions of perception and thinking, the dust and affliction, and ignorance.
If there is no cultivated heart to heal, Buddha nature will not be revealed.
Therefore, it is said: only after awakening the heart can one realize nature.
From this perspective, it is said: the heart generates nature.
This is the path to nirvana, the return to the original state,
and the journey every being must take to seek the Buddha Way.
In conclusion, the character "nature" contains the threefold Buddha nature:
It unfolds from the outside in.
First, the causal condition of Buddha nature guides beings to the path,
which integrates both heart generating nature and nature generating heart,
a unity of nature and cultivation.
Second, the condition of realization of Buddha nature involves seeking the Buddha Way,
which corresponds to the heart generating nature, achieving it through cultivated virtue.
Third, the condition of the true cause of Buddha nature is to transform beings,
which corresponds to nature generating heart, the expression of nature virtue.
The causal condition is the body,
like the body of Tang Seng in the journey.
The condition of realization is the heart,
like the heart of Sun Wukong.
The true cause is the unity of body and heart,
for Tang Seng and Sun Wukong are ultimately one.
In this "nature",
nature generates heart, and heart generates nature,
the non-duality of nature and cultivation, the oneness of cause and effect.
A practitioner should contemplate this mystery and act accordingly.
