1. The Way of the True Person’s Language – Effortless Action Yet Everything is Done
In the realm of the true person’s language, a path is forged where there is no existing way. This is the way of effortless action yet everything is accomplished, embodying the mysteries of the universe and life. What cannot be expressed is the speechless state of those who have not awakened. The awakened ones, however, possess the eloquence to express themselves freely, using vibrant and multifaceted symbolic thinking. They speak without hindrance, for they understand everything, and nothing is left unsaid. Even if there is no pre-established mode of expression, the enlightened can easily create entirely new and refreshing ways to communicate that have never been seen before.
2. In the Heart of True Self, Untouched by False Mind – The True Name and the Compassionate Energy Flow
In the inner world of the true self, untouched by the distractions of false minds, the true name is nameless yet encompasses all names. This connects with the compassionate energy flow of Master Hoi’s “Please call me by my true name.” The enlightened one’s wisdom is based on the non-knowing prajna as their essence, and the wisdom that follows (post-enlightenment) as their application. They embody both the essence and the function of wisdom, existing as one. They are free from the constraints of knowledge yet possess infinite knowing. Any name can be used to express the rich and vibrant symbolic thinking that flows through them.
3. The Art of Living as a Divine Being in the Present Moment – The Wave-Particle Duality of Dao and Name
Living fully in the present moment, one attains the state of “Dao can be named, but it is not the eternal Dao; names can be named, but they are not the eternal name.” This is the duality of wave-particle, where the divine being lives in the perfect harmony of formlessness and form, transcending attachment, characteristics, and dwelling. It is a living art form where the true essence of existence is manifest, and life flows as an ever-changing, yet balanced expression of the universe.
