From uniqueness to sama-sama

**Each person has a unique body**, which signifies the rarity and preciousness of human existence—the idea that "a human body is hard to obtain, and now we have it." This body is the one and only, just like each individual is the universe’s only begotten child. However, once awakening begins, a deeper truth is revealed: **all beings share the same heart, and all hearts are grounded in the same principle.**

In the state of awakening, the individual is no longer just a person but becomes the **embodiment of the Buddha’s complete enlightenment**. The "heart" of a person in this enlightened state is not confined by ego but returns to the **primordial emptiness of prajñā wisdom**, which is the eternal, true heart. This true heart transcends the limitations of personal consciousness and reveals the true nature of the universe as **emptiness**—pure, free from attachment, and unstained.

At the same time, "principle" (理) refers to the **wondrous existence** manifested in the universe, which is the formless, boundless compassion and wisdom. This compassion is not merely an emotional expression but the **wondrous true nature of no-form compassion**, which is the ultimate reality of all things in the universe. In other words, after awakening, the "heart" experiences the **emptiness** that is the true essence of the universe, while the "principle" comprehends the **wondrous existence** that underlies all phenomena.

Thus, while each individual is physically unique, after awakening, the inner heart aligns with the **Buddha’s ultimate awakening**, and one enters the realm where **emptiness and wondrous existence** are one and the same, revealing the ultimate meaning of human life.
