1. Rasing your inner child without raising your blood pressure [remarks: credit goes to the speaker who addressed the Commonwealth Secondary School's Parents some years between 2007-2010. He presented us a "Rasing your child without raising your blood pressure" highly inspiring parenting talk. Hereby, I added in only one word "inner" to his title. If there is any credit gained from this blog sharing, it should go to this speaker, whom I couldn't remember his name. Of course, credit should also go to people who developed this pool of wonderful resources for the speaker to use and share.]
2. Your inner child is actually a morally immature person who tends to do wrong things and gets hurts easily, on one hand. On the other hand, your inner child is true and kind deep inside, maybe, we can called this innermost child as "child-as-is" or "child-living-in-the-present-moment".
3. Now, you see your inner child has both negative and positive sides. So, don't throw away the baby with the bathwater. That means, we should not harm the positive side of our inner child while we are getting rid of the negative side.
4. If only we succeed in throwing away the bathwater without throwing the baby, we are able to raise our inner child into a morally mature person while we are still keeping our child-at-heart alive.
5. Interesting, isn't it? But, how to achieve this?
6. The answer is simple. We need to learn mindful breathing.
7. When our blood pressure goes up, we have to practice mindful breathing immediately to bring it down.
8. How can it be so easy? You doubt about it deeply.
9. Needs lots of practice and rehearsals before you can succeed, of course! It is a challenging journey.
10. Though the journey of mindful breathing is challenging, you are able to enjoy the peace and happiness in the present moments of every step you taken in the journey.
11. A journey of ten thousands mile, begin with a single step.
12. Start your journey here and now. Breathe. Smile. Walk. Don't rush. Every step you are stepping into your destination. You are home. Welcome back!
