致知is to see the naked self with naked knowledge （良知）
格物is to free the unbroken self with unbroken truth （天理）
诚意is both the naked heart with naked knowledge and the unbroken heart with unbroken truth （太极☯️）
You need to 退六步in order to see the naked self （赤裸裸一丝不挂的本来面目；用清净莲花来比喻）
You need to 进七步in order to rebuilt the unbroken world with the unbroken truth （金刚般若智慧；用金刚杵来比喻）
