Mirror Blossoms · Void Blossoms

A child of the heavens gazes inward, seeing within the mind a mirror so pure it reflects the beauty of all existence.

The world reveals itself as blossoms of beings and things, delicate, radiant, and full of life. Every person, every moment, is like a flower—clear, vivid, and breathtakingly beautiful.

Yet this mirror of the mind is no ordinary mirror; it is the Great Perfect Mirror Wisdom, transformed from the eighth consciousness, the Alaya-vijnana.

The Great Perfect Mirror Wisdom is empty, void of attachment, yet it reflects all of heaven and earth. When the foolish arrive, it reflects their folly; when the wise approach, it reflects their wisdom. When something comes, it is seen with perfect clarity. When it departs, it leaves no trace, no stain upon the mirror.

Thus, it is called: Void Blossoms. Or, Mirror Blossoms.

Through the pure gaze of the Great Mirror Wisdom, everything is seen as wondrous blossoms—perfect in their beauty, yet untouched by clinging. The flowers of existence bloom with unparalleled grace, captivating and luminous. Yet, within the heart, there is no grasping, no holding, no desire to claim them.

The blossoms in the mirror are like flowers in the emptiness. They are visible, yet intangible. Their beauty is not diminished by their insubstantiality. Rather, it is magnified by the understanding that they arise from purification of our minds. Their essence is neither something nor nothing—it is the luminous play of the mind’s clarity, a dance of fleeting yet profound beauty.

The Great Perfect Mirror Wisdom is vast like the heavens, clear like a still lake. It accepts all things, yet remains unstained; it reflects all forms, yet clings to none. When one sees with this mirror, the blossoms of existence are no longer objects of desire or aversion. They are simply there—perfect, fleeting, free.

The flowers bloom within the mirror, yet the mirror holds no flowers. These wondrous blossoms, born of emptiness, radiate an incomparable beauty. The mirror remains pristine, untainted by even the most dazzling reflection. This is the essence of the Great Perfect Mirror Wisdom: to see the beauty of the world without grasping, to witness the emptiness of all things-in-themselves without falling into nihilism.

Blossoms in the mirror, blossoms in the emptiness—neither is illusion, yet both are untouchable. The beauty lies in their coexistence, the way form arises from emptiness and emptiness holds space for form. The heart-mind, dwelling in this wisdom, moves effortlessly between the fullness of form and the stillness of void, embracing all yet holding onto nothing.

Thus, void blossoms are not void, and mirror blossoms are free. The wondrous nature of the universe reveals itself in this interplay—perfect clarity, perfect beauty, all within a single moment of awareness.
